In the first 20 minutes?

Watching casually without volume, but replays look that way

And both in the penalty box

Natural position. One was off the thigh first. They kicked out Mueller in the 2010 WC for such an infraction!

Three hand balls now, are you fucking kidding me? The last one there's no excuse.

Is this referee from Uruguay?

Is this Italy vs South Korea again?

Own goal on Turkey on a crossing

Guess the Turkish player forgot he could use his hands :)

I know it sucks .It is a UEFA new rule . It is gonna be a big mess till they go back to an old one.

FIFA explains current handball rules. 9 to 3 – penalty, 8 to 9 and 3 to 4 – referees discretion, 4 to 8 – no penalty.

Looks ok. A lot of the recent hand ball penalties (after VAR) were a joke.

BTW how was Lukaku (sp) not offside????

Huh... When was that rule changed? And why?

At the moment of the pass, he was clearly offside. Why would the defensive contact override that?

Not that he touched the ball, he played the ball, so ref said play on. I agree it should of been called offside right away, though break for Russians.

the third offense would be pretty darn close to the 3 line, with his hand extended

This brings into play a whole new coaching technique, how to block balls with your hands keeping your hands below your waist

Have to admit, people writing new rules for all of sports are really really really smart people, they just never played sports :)

These VAR hand ball review penalties were getting out of hand.

I actually thought the guy with ball in the penalty area (at the perimeter of it) should just kick the ball at the defender's body, hey, maybe he hits the hand/arm
and then the whole team can cry for a penalty

So we go from one extreme to the other. Calling handballs when they weren't gaining an advantage, although that was the rule throughout the sport's history, to actually legalizing handballs and charging the whole game

they're going to change this rule again
